At Douglas Construction we don’t waste time but we don’t cut corners either like installing a French drain and making sure moisture stays out of the foundation. You can really start to see the bones of this home come together, Everything we can think of that a future homeowner would need AND want in a home, like spacious rooms, one-level living, great storage spaces and an attached garage. What progress! We’re nearly dried in, just waiting on windows so we wanted to share the full inside layout (architectural drawings and all). We like to add the touches that make a home special. Here are some highlights. Water table trim under windows makes the look of the home stand out. Synthetic paper on the roof to keep moisture out lasts longer. 9 foot ceilings which give a dramatic feel to each room, and large closets with double doors for easy access. In fact storage is built in throughout the home because, well, we all have stuff we need to store!. We can’t wait to see electrical, plumbing and more coming in the next couple of weeks!

Look at the progress on this magnificent home! It’s truly coming right along and on time. We have used Low E Argon windows installed which make for better energy efficiency and a new, long lasting roof! We currently have HVAC and Electrical work going on inside and concrete is being poured for the garage floor and concrete porch and steps. Soon, someone will be able to enjoy their afternoon on this porch, it won’t be much longer. What do you think so far?

We are letting you know we are getting our Rural Hall home ready for market! Finishing up the interior with designer touches like modern gray cabinetry with a black island along with luxury gray hardwood vinyl plank flooring. Open living and dining concept with vaulted ceilings and trey ceilings in the master with can lights. There will be no lack of storage in this home! We make each space comfortable with touches like a 6.5’X 30’ covered porch in the back with two outdoor ceiling fans. Windows are low e argon. Double closet doors in all bedrooms for easy access Every room has its own return duct, keeping the air flow in the home even. We are moving right along on this new construction home. We’ve just finished the insulation and now ready to start drywall! Things will really start moving fast and we will be ready for paint. Outside updates: The yard has been graded for a nice size back and side yard, private and several of the windows in the home overlook what will be a gorgeous back yard. Douglas Construction is always thinking of the homeowner, even if we don’t know them yet, so what we do today will be enjoyed for many days in the future!

Now that the drywall is up, screwed and glued and with a second coat of mud, the house is really coming together and it’s easier to see the space. This house is still at the stage where some things can be customized by the new owner like in the master closet and storage options. It won’t last long, we are now on the market! We are ready for paint! We’ve finished the drywall, sanded, trimmed out and interior doors added. Shower tile is going in, the second bath in the home will have a large 48” vanity and is on a split floor plan, everything is shaping up on this house. We don’t cut corners or try to use inferior products. In this home we are using Sherwin Williams products in the Cashmere paint line in a popular and neutral soft gray interior color. This home will be turn-key for the new owner, no lists of things to do or fix when you move in, just ready to live in and make memories.
